I believe that everything in this world should be E.P.I.C. Including lead nurture.
Because let’s face it. It’s really hard to get anyone’s attention. In-person or otherwise.
I know I’m on my phone all the time, and unless someone has something that blows my mind and I think is E.P.I.C. I’m focused on myself and the work I have to do.
I’ve figured out the 4 key components of Lead Nurture that ACTUALLY works because it’s E.P.I.C.
E — Engagement
The very first thing to do with Lead Nurture is to engage your audience. There are many ways to do this and the best approach is one that speaks to what your audience likes.
So the engagement could come in the form of an email, or a box, or a mailer, or even a custom and personalized video.
Social media posts, blog posts, and other written platforms are great for engagement too. The possibilities are endless and the more you can cater and customize this step the better your engagement will be.
I highly recommend the books Give by Nicholas Kushmich and Giftology by John Ruhlin you are looking to get a deep dive on this topic. Remember this is foundational to everything that comes after it.
P — Ping SMS/Messenger/Private/Direct Messages
Once you have engaged with them in a public setting, now it’s time to get into their “real” inbox. That is the messages that they are far more likely to check on a regular basis.
The key here is to not come off as cold, but familiar and a place of having met. This can be a text message, sending a message in messenger, or a private/direct message.
I — Inspire
To take your lead nurture deeper you’ll want to inspire them to connect with you. So how can you inspire? One great way to inspire is to offer an in-person or virtual coffee (send a Starbucks gift card).
Maybe you could write a note about a blog or podcast they did that INSPIRED you. The key message when you are communicating through inspiration is “I respect you and I’m paying attention to what you are doing and what you are working on right now.”
When you communicate in that fashion they can’t help but be inspired by you.
C — Connect
Finally, it’s time to connect face to face (if you already haven’t).
There are so many ways we can connect with one another such as Phone calls, Zoom video calls, In-person meetings, attending their events, and so on.
Now realize that you can be doing all of these things simultaneously.
Just make sure in your lead nurture you are including each of the steps whatever it looks like for you and your business.
Now you have the tools to have E.P.I.C. Lead Nurture follow up.
